Prostate cancer is the most common cause of cancer-related deaths in men in The Bahamas. Dr. Greggory Pinto said that one in six men in The Bahamas will develop prostate cancer in his lifetime. This is troubling because prostate cancer when caught early is curable – and screening is so simple.
As September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, Dr. Pinto is warning of the dangers of not screening for the disease.
