Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon
Dr. Gregory C. Neil is a highly accomplished, board-certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon with specialized expertise in cosmetic and reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, and maxillofacial reconstruction.
He holds a BSc (Hons) from the University of Windsor, Canada, and completed his medical training at the University of the West Indies, Jamaica, followed by an internship at Princess Margaret Hospital in Nassau, The Bahamas.
Driven by a passion for advancing his surgical knowledge, Dr. Neil began his residency in OB/GYN at SUNY Brooklyn but soon shifted his focus to trauma surgery, completing a General Surgery Residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital in New York City.
He further honed his skills with specialty training in Plastic Surgery at the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, where he served as Chief Resident and was awarded the prestigious S. Dawson Theogaraj Prize for academic excellence in the U.S. Nationwide Plastic Surgery Evaluations.
In July 2001, Dr. Neil returned to The Bahamas as the country’s first board-certified Plastic Surgeon. Committed to expanding access to quality healthcare, he has established clinics across the islands, including Freeport and Abaco.
Beyond his medical achievements, Dr. Neil holds a U.S. Coast Guard Marine Captain’s license from the Chapman School of Seamanship and is an instrument-rated aircraft pilot, reflecting his adventurous spirit and dedication to exploring The Bahamas.
