Happy Earth Day!

Earth Day, is a day that is intended to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s natural environment. Earth Day was founded by United States Senator Gaylord Nelson as an environmental teach-in first held on April 22, 1970.

While this first Earth Day was focused on the United States, an organization launched by Denis Hayes, who was the original national coordinator in 1970, took it international in 1990 and organized events in 141 nations. Earth Day is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network, and is celebrated in more than 175 countries every year.

Numerous communities celebrate Earth Week, an entire week of activities focused on environmental issues.
Come on Bahamas, lets join in and start a conversation, find out what we can do for our environment, and do it!

SNEAK PEEK! Find out what artists Leanne Russell and Chris Symonette have done with unwanted materials. Celebrate Earth Day with the The Salus Project. May 1st, 7pm at NPCC, The Ladder Gallery. See you there!

Salus At Empty Bowls

This year at Empty Bowls Bahamas 2014, June Bug Face Painting in partnership with The Salus Project helped raised funds for this important cause.

Empty Bowls is a Non-Profit Organization established within The Bahamas which strives to bring awareness to the plight of hunger through the promotion of the arts – visual, culinary and performing.

Thank you everyone for your support

This was our first time at Empty Bowls Bahamas, our day were filled with jokes, smiling faces, awesome music by Bahamian artists and tasty soups.

Oh and I can’t forget the really cool bowls.

Evening of Art & Music

The Salus Project, Rotary Club of East Nassau and the Bahamas National Symphony Orchestra came together on Saturday 8th March to host an evening of music at the John Watlings Distillery.

Salus was a part of the silent auction which benefited the Dennis Donaldson Music Scholarship.
