Child and Adolescent Therapist
With a warm and trusting approach, Sasha-Kay McIntosh has dedicated her career to helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate life’s challenges. A Master’s degree in Counseling and play therapy training from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS, laid the foundation for her work. Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology, Sasha-Kay stays at the forefront of research to best support her clients.
From internship experiences working with children, families, and individuals, to serving as a Behavioral Specialist and Director of Psychosocial Rehabilitation for individual with serious mental illnesses, Sasha-Kay’s professional journey has been shaped by a passion for play therapy and helping others. Integrating neuroscience, attachment theory, and direct/indirect play, she creates a nurturing environment for clients to explore emotions, build self-awareness, and develop healthy relationships.
Inspired by Fred Rogers’ wisdom that “play is the work of childhood,” Sasha-Kay believes in the transformative power of play therapy. With a commitment to providing a safe and understanding space, she empowers her clients to embark on a journey of growth, healing and long-lasting change.
